Sweating too much can feel at the very least embarrassing and uncomfortable. It might cause anxiety, and be disabling in certain areas of your life.
Sometimes you feel sweaty nomatter if its hot or cold, even when you are relaxing . It can disrupt all aspects of life, from career choices and recreational
activities to relationships, emotional well-being, and self-image.
There were many situation especially in public where I felt automatically embarrassed and self conscious to the point that I started to limit my interaction with others.
I was constantly afraid of adverse reaction of others or even of being rejected because of my sweating.
Certain jobs, even career that I aspired that included frequent interaction with others were rather short lived or I avoided all together.
Having a intimate relationships as you know can than challenging at times especially in the initial stages.
Medication and medical treatments have often uncertain side effects and can be very expensive
I think we’re a lot a like..I want a rich life without worrying about sweating too much. Feel better about myself in general. Feel freer to interact with the external world. I imagine interacting with other people more socially with confidence. Feel closer to loved ones. Experience more intimacy and romance in my relationships. Have a wider range of career choice not limited by physical nuisances of sweating.
A few years back I went on a mad search on the internet to find some solution to alleviate the pesky problem. Since sweating too much was actually categorized as a medical condition, I hoped doctors would have the answer. Starting with various external and internal medications and treatments with a variety of unpleasant side effects and no or very little effect on improving the sweating.
As soon as you one symptom was being treated another one would pop up
Believe it or not my health insurance would actually pay for a very expensive surgery over exploring alternative ways.
Since I was still sweating a lot after all the medical treatments and the surgery I started to look into other solutions.
It finally dawned on me that like in life it is an inside job that there had to be more than to just treat symptoms. I started to monitor and adjust my thought and emotional responses to situations that would make me sweat. I realized that I had to improve my life as a whole, become happier with myself, create my own personal lifestyle before there could be a permanent change in the sweating pattern.
What I could not find in all my research about HH (and I looked like a mad scientist) was a place where fellow hyperhydrotics could figure all this out together. Yes, there are few forums about the subject which I found rather depressing, because the focus was mostly how bad everything is.
I envision building a membership community destination for all “sweaty” people to help each other, to mastermind, to continually present the top leading edge solutions and tools.
That’s where you come in. I need your help and input so these resources will have something for everyone.
